Monkey Quest Osrs

You must bring the bones of the type of desired monkey, and a monkey talisman, to Zooknock in his tunnel. The monkey in your backpack can spit out a medium clue scroll when it is fed bananas. This is a 1 in 256 chance and is a requirement for obtaining the master quest cape. Quest journal changes: 'On Garkor's advice, I disguised as a Karamjan monkey and proposed an alliance with Awowogei. Having Proved my worthiness by rescuing a monkey from Ardougne Zoo, I earned Awowogei's favour.' Final Chapter. The sergeant will give you a 10th squad sigil and tell you to get prepared.

Monkey Madness[edit | edit source]

The King of the Northern Gnomes, Narnode Shareen, is once again in need of your help. He recently decided to send an envoy of his Royal Guard, the 10th squad, to oversee the decommissioning of the Gnome owned ship-building facilities on the eastern coast of Karamja.

It has been quite some time since the 10th squad were dispatched and they have been deemed missing in action. It will be up to you, should you decide to help, to find out what fate befell the 10th squad and if possible, track them down.If only it were so simple. Sinister forces have begun to spread through the Gnome hierarchy and threaten to unleash an unknown terror upon the world. Far across the land, the fires of vengeance are being stoked once again. Can you unravel the mystery behind the deception? Can you separate the truth from the lies? Can you decide for yourself what is real and what is not?

Main article: Do No Evil
Having awoken from her sleep, Senliten, the Pharaoh Queen, can sense that something is missing from the desert. That 'something' isn't water, vegetation or a sense of right and wrong: it's monkeys! Generations ago, when Apmeken, the monkey god, roamed the desert, monkeys were as common as a blackjack mugging in the desert; but when she left the desert, the monkeys left too. Can you convince Awowogei to send a colony of simians to the desert? And how will they fare in a climate where even the hardiest of adventurers have perished?

This article is about the species. For the monkey named as 'Monkey' in inventory, see Monkey (item).

Monkeys are an animal species native to certain islands on Gielinor, although they can also be found in the Ardougne Zoo. They typically inhabit leafy, thick jungles such as on Karamja or Ape Atoll. In RuneScape, 'monkey' is typically used to refer to any primate, and is often used interchangeably with 'ape'.

  • 1Species

Species[edit | edit source]

In Gielinor, there are two main monkey species: the Karamjan monkey, and the Ape Atoll monkey. Karamjan monkeys are typically known for being the more intelligent of the two, while the monkeys which inhabit Ape Atoll are generally larger.

Karamjan monkey[edit | edit source]

The Karamjan monkey is a small, level 3 monkey found north of the gnome glider transport in Karamja as well as other locations in the surrounding area. They feature heavily in the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest, and partially in Monkey Madness I - monkeys in Ardougne Zoo can be spoken to during and after the quest. These monkeys are not often killed due to their very low combat level, although their bones do give slightly more experience than regular bones.

Ape Atoll monkey[edit | edit source]

At some point in the past, possibly before human existence, the patron goddess of monkeys, Marimbo, visited Ape Atoll in search of followers. She discovered the primates on the island and granted them intelligence - with this, the apes built the city of Marim, and a temple to worship her. Since then, the monkeys inhabiting Ape Atoll have made great technological progress - the crafting and use of weaponry; the use of magic and runes; the creation of a monkey language (which can be translated by the m'speak amulet), and the foundation of a religion worshipping Marimbo.

Greegree monkeys[edit | edit source]

During and after the Monkey Madness I quest, players wielding a particular greegree can transform into one of eight types of monkey: the Karamjan monkey; 2 types of Zombie monkey (small and large); 2 types of Ninja monkey (small and large), and 3 types of gorilla (with or without beard and a special blue-faced one). During and after Monkey Madness II you can also transform into Kruk.
