Starting out
Items Required: None
Items Suggested: Food, Antipoison, 23 empty inventory spaces
Timfraku thanks you for everything you have done in the jungle potion quest and gives you a new mission. Your mission is simple enough; just get his 3 sons to return to the village:
- Tamayu
- Tinsay
- Tiadeche
A map with the locations of key items and NPCs is below:
Karambwanji and Karambwan
Items Required:Small fishing net
Items Suggested:Antipoison, food, 23 empty inventory spaces
The ability to catch or obtain karambwanji and karambwan is necessary for the retrieval of all three sons. While the recommended order is the fastest way of completing this quest, the fishing or any of the sons can be done in any particular order you wish.
1. You can only catch Karambwan with the proper fishing vessel so go and talk to Lubufu in south-west Brimhaven (see map). It will take some effort to get Lubufu to accept you as a fishing apprentice so just keep talking with him until he notices you are being very persistent. He will finally ask you to find the bait for the vessel.
2. Lubufu will tell you that karambwanji, the bait for the vessel, spawn in the Holy Lake. Go to the lake south of Tai Bwo Wannai and catch 20 karambwanji with a normal small fishing net. Fish an extra 3-5 since you you'll need them later on in the quest. Take the 20 karambwanji back to Lubufu once you have them.
3. Lubufu will now give you a karambwan vessel that you need to catch the karambwan with. To catch karambwan, you'll need to place a raw karambwanji in the karambwan vessel, and then fish at the fishing place next to Lubufu.
- If your Fishing level isn't 65, ask a player who's finished the quest to buy a raw karambwan for you from Tiadeche's shop in the village or buy one from the Grand Exchange.
- You can drop the vessel and speak to Lubufu again telling him you've lost it. He will give you a second vessel which you will need later on during the Quest (step 9).
Tamayu
Items Required: 1 Agility potion (4) or 2 Agility potions (3), Iron spear or greater (not black), Pestle and mortar, Raw karambwan
Items Suggested:Logs, Tinderbox, food, Antipoison
4. Tamayu is located at the mines just south-east of Tai Bwo Wannai Village (see map). He says he will not set foot in the village until he has slain the Shaikahan. Talk to him again and tell him you would like to join him on his next hunt. He will agree on the condition that you do not interfere. A cutscene ensues and Tamayu will fail to slay the Shaikahan. He will mention, at the end, the beast heals itself too quickly and he is not agile enough to slay the beast.
5. To help Tamayu defeat the Shaikhan, you need to bring him one four-dose or two three-dose agility potions and an iron spear or better (except black) poisoned with poisonous karambwan paste. To obtain the paste, cook a Karambwan for a short time and use it on a mortar and pestle. The Karambwan can be cooked on a fire (use logs and tinderbox) or on the range in Brimhaven. Make sure the karambwan is improperly cooked and marked as poisonous, or it will not be effective. Then just add the paste to the spear.
6. Go back to Tamayu and use the potion(s) and spear on him. Ask if you can join him on the hunt and in the cutscene he will this time succeed. After the cutscene, he promises to return to the village.
Tinsay
Items Required:Banana, Knife, Karamjan rum, Seaweed, Ranged or magic weaponry, Jogre bones, Pestle and mortar, Raw Karambwan
Items Suggested: Food, Antipoison, Superheat spell runes (4 Fire runes, 1 Nature rune), Tinderbox, logs
7. This son is located on Cairn Island (see map). Please note that getting to Carin Island requires crossing an ill-conditioned bridge and treacherous climbing rocks; both have the capability to deal damage if you fail to cross successfully. Claiming he needs items for 'statue rebuilding,' Tinsay will have you collect three food items for him. He will only ask for and accept one food item at a time. He asks in this order:
- Banana Karamja Rum
Take your banana and cut it into slices with your knife, then use it on a bottle of Karamjan rum. Do not stuff the banana into the neck of the bottle. Tinsay will not accept it and it cannot be undone. Karamjan rum can be found at the bar on the F2P port of Karamja Island (you might remember this from the Pirate's Treasure quest) or from the Brimhaven pub. Bananas can also be picked from the plantation trees at the Port Sarim - Karamja port.
Once you have made this drink, take it back to Tinsay. Do not teleport or use the carts to to get there faster or the bottle of rum will break. - Seaweed sandwich
After the rum, Tinsay will ask for this. You will need to use a monkey skin and some seaweed together. Do not use seaweed with a monkey corpse - Tinsay will not accept it. Kill the one of the monkeys bouncing around with ranged or magic spells (melee is not effective) to get a monkey corpse. Take the corpse to Tamayu who will skin the monkey for you, as long as you have already assisted him in some way (potions, spear or both). You will receive monkey bones and skin. Use the skin with some seaweed. There is a seaweed spawn just north-west of the bridge to Cairn Island (see map). You will now have a seaweed sandwich. Take it to Tinsay. - Special Jogre bones
Lastly, Tinsay will ask for burnt Jogre bones marinated in karambwanji. Use Jogre bones with a tinderbox, furnace or superheat spell to burn them. Then use a raw karambwanji with mortar and pestle to make a paste. Use the paste on the bones and the pasty bones on a range or fire and you'll have your very own set of marinated Jogre bones. Be careful to not bury them! If you do not follow these instructions properly, you will create a useless version of jogre bones, which Tinsay will not accept. If you accidentally put cooked Karambwanji paste on the bones, do not cook them or it will explode, hitting you for a couple LP.
Take these marinated bones back to Tinsay. Finally he will agree to return to the village after you help the final brother.
Tiadeche
Items Required:Karambwan vessel (baited)
Items Suggested: Food, Antipoison
8. Tiadeche is located on the east side of the river (across the bridge), at the north tip of Karamja (see map). He will only return once he can catch his own Karambwan fish. He will not accept a Karambwan fish, so use a baited karambwan vessel on him so he can fish for himself. He will tell you to take a different vessel over to Tinsay (the crafting brother) so he can produce his own vessels.
9. If you didn't collect an extra karambwan vessel earlier, go back to Lubufu, and tell him that you need a new vessel. After obtaining one, take the vessel over to Tinsay and he will give you some crafting instructions on making a new one. Take these back to Tiadeche, and he will agree to come back to the village.

Items Required: None
Items Suggested: Food, Antipoison
10. Speak to Timfraku and the quest will finally be complete!

Posted 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 16 Hours, 12 Minutes AgoTo create a more varied overall PvP event schedule that gives everyone a chance to participate regardless of their work / life schedules, we've changed the scheduling strategy for our automated PvP events. Rather than taking place 4 times per day at fixed times, PvP events now happen 7 hours after the previous event. This means that throughout the week, the specific times events occur will change from one day to the next.
Pay attention to the site countdowns and ingame / Discord notifications. And of course, you can always type .events ingame to see the upcoming event schedule.
We're considering a more frequent, nearly continuous event system that would allow players to continually challenge eachother in ranked PvP events with prizes and bragging rights. Let us know your thoughts on this frequency in the new poll.Patch 70

To follow-up on yesterday's patch with a fix for Clouded. Today we have made some more adjustments.
There won't be another patch tomorrow, but possibly Monday.
We used to keep the stuff we were working on under wraps because other servers have built their entire servers on content ideas we have floated. Honestly, you guys stick around either way so I don't care if other servers know about what we're working on. I just want to get it out there.
Game
-Courage Exchange
-Many players suggested that the Courage Exchange was dropped down by too much, so we've doubled the costs in the Courage Exchange to balance it better with other parts of the economy.
-The prices were intentional, for those that asked, but the feedback suggested that these prices were too low based on the timing between rounds if you switch realms and because the amount of points you can receive from a round is almost 50% higher than we expected.
-Doubling the costs accounts for both of these issues and makes the rewards more in line with how we wanted to reward people for doing BGs.
-Ultimately, items found in rewards should not negatively impact the trading values of these items by too much. When it does, we need to adjust for that.
-We've added more rewards to the Courage Exchange too.
-Fine Seal Orb
-Fate Blood's Orb
-Bodhi Seed's Fragment
-Spiritual Covenant
-Astral Dew
-Blacksmith's Apprentice

Posted 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days, 11 Hours, 42 Minutes AgoWith a number like 69 you'd hope there was a lot more going on, right?
Unfortunately, this was just a quick patch to fix any daylight savings time issue that may have come up.
While the server was down, we fixed the Clouded drops. They should drop now and you should be able to obtain Fate Gears now.
We were quiet for Sept. and Oct. due to real-life commitments outside of MD. Not a lot got done, unfortunately. While I'm not about to commit to weekly patches, this month will see some of the planned content released.
Patches may be really small from now on. Honestly, I think it's better if we push something small than nothing at all. I think most of you agree. I've been stubborn about trying to make big elaborate patches that make up for the amount of time between them. This is an endless loop and it sucks.
So, we're going to just patch stuff as it's done. You might think a patch sucks or is tiny or whatever, I don't care. We're not going to worry about that. We're going to keep on keeping on through 2020 and beyond.
Expect more frequent, smaller, patches. Some days may even see multiple patches.
