Introduction to the Mall and Neocash
The grand NC Mall was introduced July of 2007. This Mall provides an option for you to purchase wearable/non-wearable items and participate in games and events. Unlike regular Neopian shops, the NC Mall requires Neocash (bought with real-life money) to purchase items. This Mall is available to all countries, and can also be accessed in the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. Any NC purchased through these sites can still be spent on Neopets since the accounts were linked. Welcome Gift. What is Neocash?
Neocash (commonly abbreviated as NC) is a virtual Neopian currency that can usually only be obtained when you purchase it with real-life money in US dollars. NC is the only Neopian currency used to purchase items from shops in the NC Mall. It is not affected by Random Events that can 'steal' it from your inventory like Neopoints. NC is not required to play Neopets, but only an optional feature to enhance your gaming experience. You can purchase NC on your main and side accounts. Welcome Gift
New users to Neopets are given a free 150 NC 'Welcome Gift' - this replaced the Spinning Star Mystery Capsule free gift. To retrieve your NC, go to the NC Mall and click 'Claim your FREE NC Gift' at the top. A box will be sent to your inventory. Click on the box and select 'Open NC Mall Welcome Gift' to receive the 150 NC. You are allowed to claim the free 150 NC 'Welcome Gift' when creating side accounts as well.

From July 22nd to July 24th, certain members of the Petpet Park, Monkey Quest, and Neopets Team were away at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California.
